I have SO MANY thoughts about this film and want EVERYONE to tell me their thoughts about it SO

LOVED:
- THAT OPENING SCENE. that was the BOMB DOT COM DOT CO DOT UK. the whole opening scene was so amazing. it was amazing looking and exhilarating and heart-wrenching and urgh it just really threw you into the whole ~~~star wars mentality.

- The fight scene when Kylo Ren and Rey fought the imperial guards was AMAZING and suchhhhh a good fight scene.

- FLYING SPACE LEIA. Seriously, oh man. Some people will say it was cheesy but when it happened I was so sad and heart broken cause she was about to die and it was ONLY THE START OF THE FILM but then SHE DIDNT DIE, SHE FLEW USING THE FORCE. and there are gonna be so many kids with leia figures making them fly and it's gonna be TRUE.

- the last fourty minutes was the best part of the film in terms of pacing etc.

THAT EXPLOSION WHERE LAURA DERNE FUCKED UP THE FIRST ORDER. AW YEAH.

Rose was greeeaaattttt .Such a great character and her saving finn was great and I would like a poly V where finn is dating both poe and rose.

Poe and bb8 were cute AS USUAL

when R2 showed the old leia tape to luke to get him to stop being mopey, that was a hell of a Moment. jeez. heart strings.

also luke was great and very funny, i liked the humour, otherwise it would have been a bit much.

REY AT THE END ;_________<3 with the rocks!!! ugh a Good Moment.

Things I Liked Even Though Other People Will Disagree With Me And That's Okay
- the bait and switch with Kylo's "redemption". I actually really liked that they set up "What Could Have Been" but showing that Rey and Kylo could work together well, that they can fight together and that there may once have been something that was conflict within him, but that now that is not possible. I've seen a few other people say this, but I think it makes him more understandable, not more sympathetic, and sets him up as really a good villain.

Also I was glad they got rid of snoke. There's only so much you can do with him villain-wise.

MEH:

the "poe is a mutineer" storyline was pretty good but there is no good plot reason why laura derne's character can't just TELL HIM WHATS UP. I hate misunderstanding storylines and i SO wanted to root for her as an awesome character, but instead she just was being stubborn for no reason???????? it was kinda dumb.

the casino bit was ..interesting? not that greatly paced tbh, and a bit too rushed to be impactful. do i care about this dj guy? i guess he'll sell comics or something.

the fact that the "master code breaker" was not lando calrissian is SUCH A MISSED OPPORTUNITY. like, that would have been great! but nah, they went for some other kinda more boring stuff??? whatever, lando needs to come back.
