Bandom, awesome people, fic recs and an update of sorts.
So, this is not fic. But it's a promise that there will be fic and several recs for amazing stuff! It's also a much needed ramble.

bexless has an awesome picspam on Danger Days and the Na Na Na video here that is much better than any flaily capslocking I could ever do.
Bandom will always have this very special place in my heart. It was the first fandom I was ever really IN and I read my first ever fic in it and it led me down that wonderful messed up path to SLASH and all the good PORN that comes with it. So coming back to bandom for the first real proper time since I kinda fell out of it years ago felt a bit wierd. I'm doing my typical creepster thing where I just lurk and read a lot of fic and then occasionally comment on fic with THE MOST INCOHERANT CAPSLOCKING EVER. Which kinda sucks cause I love fandom but I never really get truly involved in it which makes me sad. Mainly cause I write a lot but never really want to post it.

But I've spent the past month or so creeping in the bandom part of the internet so here's some recs:

Pairings: THAT WOULD BE TELLING (well, Frank/Gerard)
Summary from author: “He thinks I have stigmata,” Frank said, because what the fucking hell, it couldn’t get any worse. He might as well just lay it out.
“Oh, well,” said Brian into his hands. “Of course.”
Why This is Awesome: Okay, so this is THREE epically long fics where Gerard is a priest and then Frank gets stigmata and things happen. The first one is Frank and his stigmata and Gerard being his saviour. and then more supernatural stuff happens in the second and third and it's so very cute and wonderful. I don't even know how to express how awesome these three fics are. The characterization is spot on, Brian gets awesome love, the dialogue is beautifully rendered and everything is just written amazingly. IF YOU READ ONLY ONE FIC IN BANDOM, READ THIS ONE.
(also,bexless in general is awesome. Even the stuff she says isn't fic is wonderful. So just go over and read everything by her and tell her she's amazing. Because I've probably commented about three hundred times with flaily capslocking)

The Anatomy of a Fall bynovembersmith

Rating / Warning: NC-17. Violence, homophobia, character death (but the character's still there--there's a fair amount of delving into the subject of death and dying, though, so be aware of that.) There's also some bizarre supernatural sex, but no necrophilia.
Pairing: Gerard/Frank
Summary: The unholy union of a high school AU and a ghost story. Gerard's life takes a strange turn when his family moves to a small town in Vermont and he discovers the locals aren't all what they seem to be. Also includes: unexpected nature walks, murder, pining, improper treatment of crime scenes, a number of bone-related puns, high school bullies, and a short-range shrub named Ferdinand.
Why This is Awesome: Okay, so I made a list: (this was basically how I commented on the story)
1) There is none of this OMG YOU'RE A GHOST RUN AWAY schtick that stories are so fond of. I mean, obviously it'd be weird but GHOSTS. GHOSTS ARE COOL. So, that is awesome. Gerard reacts in a totally natural and understandable way. Little weirded out but curious and awesomed and not freaked out.
2) The romance is very natural. It's totally obvious that Gerard's a helpless teenager and Frank is HOPELESS but it's cute and their friendship becomes romance very naturally. It's beautiful to watch is grow and them realise it. :DD Cute!
3) Gerard is so teenagery! Like he freaks out about not being a virgin anymore and embarrasses himself and his life sucks. There's none of this mixed up adult in a high school setting that happens in high school AUs sometimes. Gerard's characterization makes so much sense! It's a wonderful thing to behold.
4) I practically had a heart attack laughing. I stayed up to finish this and in trying not to laugh out loud so as not to wake anyone up I NEARLY DIED. It was so funny. :DDDD
5) MIKEY. SARCASM POWERS. ALL OF MIKEY, ALL THE TIME. SO FUNNY AND INSIGHTFUL.
6) This was so emotional. I was choked up and then WORRIED OUT OF MY MIND BECAUSE GERARD WAS GOING TO DIE, OMG and then he was safe and Frank and Gerard were having sex and I think I spontaneously combusted, UNF. Emotional rollercoaster!
7) CHARACTERS. Like not just Gerard and Frank but all the minor ones? RAY, OMG RAY WAS SO RAY. "wrote the book on cool" is SOMETHING RAY WOULD SAY, FOR REALS. (in fact, he's probably said it and I'm forgetting because this fic has left my brain unable to consider other things). BOB WAS SO BOB. EVERYONE WAS THERE AND THEY WERE AWESOME.
This is not even all the reasons this fic is amazing. Just read it, it's so good. I'm even recommending it to people who don't know or read bandom because it works just as well as orginal fic. It's so beautiful and evocative.

Rating / Warning : NC-17 for rough sex, biting, barebacking, rimming, felching, light bondage, overstimulation, sleepy sex, and a whole slew of consensual porn stemming from those kinks. (Also possible disturbing imagery during the werewolf changing.)

Summary: Spencer's a werewolf! A sexy werewolf! Okay, really, Spencer is a newly turned, slightly confused werewolf who can't figure out why Brendon smells so good all the time. Or why Spencer can't seem to stop acting like he is 16-years-old, what with all the blushing and stuttering around Brendon and the constant jerking off. Fear not, though, gentle reader, because it turns out Brendon is totally on board with having a werewolf boyfriend. And with having lots and lots of sex.
Can their relationship survive jealousy, possible accidental lycanthropy, and a wolf musical? Will at least two of those problems be solved by lots of sex? Why, yes. Yes they will.
Why This Is Awesome: Basically? Brendon and Spencer have a lot of REALLY REALLY HOT SEX. And Spencer is often morally confused and protective of Brendon. AND THEY HAVE SEX A LOT. it's hot.
