Day 6 & 8 Snowflake Compilation
Jan. 8th, 2019 02:03 pmI fell a bit behind because of life and also being busy writing, so I'm compiling a couple days. Day 7 doesn't really need a post - went outside my comfort zone by trying out for a new hockey team, I'll make more hockey drama posts on locked sometime soon.
Day 6
In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts.
Hmm, I had to think about this one for a while, 'cause I think I've been pretty happy fannishly recently, but I got a couple.
* more rarepair hockey stuff. Can you believe there's only 9 (9!!) fics tagged Connor Carrick on the archive? and most of them aren't even about him? He looks like this! (That makes him look very hench, he also looks like this.) More rare hockey stuff would be awesome. There are so many "non stars" that I've fallen in love with (looking at you Colin Wilson!) that I'd love to read more about. Doing my part by writing Tyler Seguin/Connor Carrick. Next mission: Tyson Barrie/Colin Wilson.
* chat!fic/not!fic I love chatficcing with people, ebcause it's all the emotional joy with none of the work! with friends! If i got tweets or comments suggesting fic ideas I'd be over the moon.
* icons I've done some trawling and found some hockey icons, but I want more! Can I request people make me hockey icons? There doesn't seem to be anyone on dreamwidth making hockey icons, and it's a real shame.

In your own space, post self-recs for at least three fanworks that you created.
a perfect game I think is the best fic I wrote in 2018. It's Nate/Tyson with lots pining and feelings, and I think I really got better as a writer through making this, and I think it's probably the best complete fic I've written.
Rumours of a Sunken Ship This is probably my favorite bandom thing I ever wrote. I liked writing a long-distance friendship, I liked writing about the Panic break-up, I liked the idea of Frank and Spencer being friends. I liked the kind of slice-of-live gen. Also one of my better titles.
all my mixes making mixes is really fun and I want to do it more! I have some ~secret plans for a more ambitious style mix project that I'm hopefully gonna finish this year. My rogue one mixes here and here are good, and I like my gamora/nebula minimix a lot as well.
