clachnaben: Ancient woman in robe sits on modern bus looking disgrunted (Default)
I have like five or six wips currently on the go and it is too many. I need to finish one of them to at least whittle down the list, but unfortunately that is not happening. Please take this snippet of my current Witcher wip as tribute. It is brought to you by the fact that I have done nothing but play the Witcher 3 for the last two weeks.

this fic is a vehicle for me to make Geralt talk about his feelings but that does not happen in this snippet )

I haven't posted anything in ages because I've been working on other stuff and busy on other boring real life stuff (and also cause 2020 has made my brain smooth) but here's some assorted snippets from some WIPs

“Joe fought a bear for me once,” Nicky said, looking at Joe fondly. “It was very romantic. I had to put his intestines back into his chest cavity for him.”

Nile stared at both of them, and Nicky saw her expression.

“Oh, it was very stupid,” he said, but his look at Joe was sickeningly sweet. “But I thought it was romantic.”

“What was Andy doing?” Nile asked.

“She shot the bear with a flare gun til it ran away,” Joe said dryly. “It was her fault we were in Russia anyway.”

“My fault!” Andy said. “You and Nicky got us chased out of Poland! Don’t blame me, Booker suggested we go east.”

“And you suggested Russia!” Joe said. Andy crossed her arms.

“I didn’t make you fight the bear,” she said. “It was just minding its own business.”

“She’s got a point there my love,” Nicky said, putting a proprietary hand on Joe’s thigh.
