Thursday Recs
Jul. 2nd, 2020 10:44 amplease pretend like it hasn't been a solid 7 months since I made a post in these trying times
I've been rereading in a bunch of old fandoms, mostly because my brain cannot take the cognitive load of finding new fics in new fandoms (please link me to your favorite Witcher fics) so:
The World Well Lost by
oliviacirce
A Society of Gentleman Ash/Francis fic, follows them roughly through the plot of the three main books. Hot, sweet, sexy, Ash is spot on, Francis is great. Lovely.
The Right Direction (is everything) by
shaenie
White Collar fic where Neal wants Peter to top him but also won't tell him that. Didn't love the wierd possessiveness with Sara, but Pete talking through the "problem" of Neal with Elizabeth was pitch perfect.
From Sweet Fellowship Comes Nectar by
jacquez
Lord of the Rings Gimli/Legolas where elf gender and dwarf gender isn't like human gender and Legolas and Gimli are in love but also have to navigate the cross-cultural communication of their relationship. Very very good, I reread this all the time
Numberless the ways, and imperceptible by

Lord of the Rings Gimli/Legolas - this is really great, basically it's pining but Legolas doesn't know he's pining, he feels the feelings of pining but he doesn't know that's what he's doing. Stands up to being re-read a lot, since a lot of the comedy is blink and you'll miss it, and when you reread it it's hilarious. It's also really beautiful and lovely.
